Pretty Little Studio Feathers

Happy Friday!   Yay, weekend is nearly here!!!

I have a new Pretty Little Studio creation to share today -

I absolutely love the feather die-cuts Pretty Little Studio produces.   I tend to use a lot on the one page which I have done here by layering them on top of each other.
I even painted some feathers of my own in the background.

Pretty Little Studio Products Used:

  • You and Me collection: Cut Out paper Favourite, Our Song, Sweet Ocean Mint, Feather Tickle Me, Cut Outs Adore You Phrase Strips, Garland – Like You Paper Ribbons, Journaling – Best Friends 3 x 4, Journaling – Sweet Heart 3 x 4

I layered up all of my papers as I do for my photo mat.   I cut the little birdie with the ‘Hi’ sign from the journaling set, Best Friends, and placed it to the top of my photo.

That little bit of pink on the card was my inspiration for adding a touch more pink.  I added the title in pink and painted the little pink heart on the journaling card to the right of my page.

Lots of mixed media work also with some Shimmerz and Prima flowers :)

I Love You

Hi all :)

Just sharing a cute layout I created last week.....just because, I had a spare hour or so......I am scrapping super quick these days!!!  The painted heart totally didn't work out how I wanted it too, but I just didn't have time to fiddle around with it....you get that sometimes ;)

I used lots of gorgeous Prima flowers and some Crate Paper.

Love notes and Jagger :)

Hi there!!

Last week I made a few little tags and paper bags for my all of my boys (except Jagger) and filled them with some love heart choccies for Valentines Day.

I used the Crate Paper collection Hello Love to make the tags.
Made the paper bags myself and just added some turquoise spots to them.

So my little Jagger is 4 months old already!!  Crazy, huh?!!!  I swear he was only born last week :)  We got our little Bumbo delivered last week and it's been the greatest thing I have bought!  I am sure he won't get too much use out of it as he is a bit of a chubba (all 8kg's of him) but it's fantastic for this in between stage where he can't sit up by himself but he wants to sit up all of the time.

I pulled out my camera today, for the first time in ages.......it's really just too convenient to use my iPhone.  But I definitely need to pull it more often.  These photos are so cute.  Out of the 50 odd I took, a lot were out of focus!  I'm certainly out of practice in that department!

Oh I hope these beautiful blue eyes are keepers.......

I am still swaddling him to sleep.  I definitely didn't do it this long with the other boys but he seems to sleep better wrapped up.  He manages to break free most of the time though :)

Have a lovely evening xxx

Loveheart Canvas

Last week a new canvas I created was shared over on the Pretty Little Studio Blog.  I also shared a little step x step which you can see at the bottom of this post.

TFL xx

"Our Love Story"

I grabbed a heap of 8 x 8 papers from the ‘You and Me’ Collection.  I cut out 15 hearts to fit the canvas.  After having a fiddle around and working out which print heart would go where (I didn’t want 2 patterns the same next to each other) I distressed the edges of each one.

I then curled the edges of each one and adhered so that the middle of the heart looked puffed up.  I then added Gel Medium to the edges of the heart, keeping the gel thick which added to the texture of the hearts.

After it had dried, I applied some watercolour to the canvas.  The gel acts as a resist which gave an awesome effect once the watercolour was added.

I then added some floral embellishments.

I cut the 3×4 journaling card in the shape of a heart and adhered it with foam tape to one of the top hearts.  More paint splatters and Gesso were added to the embellishments.  I finished off by adding a some phrase strips, stickers and arrows.

 Happy Valentine's Day

Little Zebra

My little babe is now 4 months old!  I have taken a gazillion photos of him but I think I have a scrapped only 4.....oh to have more crafty time!!!!

This was my favourite outfit from when Jagger was born.  It fit him until he was 1 month old.  It was the cutest, Zebra's all over it.  I actually forgot to write journaling on this one before I took the photo...oops!

I don't even have a name for it....how about -

Some closeups for you.  I hand drew both of the birdcages with a lead pencil first and then I went over it with a fine line pen.

Baby Toes - PLS

Hi there!

I got to have a little play over the holidays with some of the Let's Go collection from Pretty Little Studio.  I picked the colours, yellow, navy and a smidgen each of grey and turquoise to complete my layout.  I really loved the moon from the paper, New Mexico,  and new it would fit perfectly into the layout with the baby theme.  I also layered some of the clear shipping tags and frames.  I added some stencilling and mixed media to give the layout more dimension.
