A mixed bag today :)

Happy Thursday everyone, hope you are having a wonderful day and if you are like us....enjoying the school holidays.

I have so many creations to share with you today :)  I have been a busy girl!!!
I will start with Prima, first up is the Oct BAP.  I absolutely loved this sketch by DT gal Brit.  She did such a great job with this sketch, I wish I knew how to create sketches on the computer........but as you know, I am hopeless with this thing......oh, oh, did you notice my new header???  That's as good as my computer skills get, just cropped and edited one of my layouts.....lol!!!!  Anyway back to Prima......here is the sketch...

Here is my take on the sketch......

If you notice I haven't used 1 flower on here!  Can you believe it, trust me I put one on then took it back off deciding it just didn't need it!!!!  I wanted to keep in with the arty feel of the sketch so decided to scrap some pics of Mason having his first good go at finger painting!  I actually quite like how it turned out....something a little differnt from me :)

"Shhh!  Genius at Work"

Love the Junkyard Findings light bulbs.......

I used the vibrant Firefly collection and added some paint splatters to match both the sketch and my photos :)

My next Prima project was for the feature using the Vintage Trinkets.  I have used lots of them throughout this mini album I created.  All the photos were from a couple of weekends ago when we had a weekend away at the beach.  I don't generally create mini albums but had this idea in my head and just went with it.  I then finished my project and tried to close my mini album and then I was reminded why I don't create them!!!!!!!!!!  Everything I create is so full of texture it makes it hard for me to do a mini!

Lots of shabby texture and some Vintage Trinkets hanging from the side, I also added some shells to one of them :)

Thankful for this Vintage clasp Prima released two (?) years ago, I have had it sitting in my room for a while and was just what I needed to get my mini to stay together :)

So here are my inside pages now:

I really loved creating this and I really love seeing all those gorgeous mini albums floating around the web and on Pinterest, I would like to start making more, I just need to learn to put my foam tape away when I create them.....lol!!!

Here is a Prima card I made.

"Special Wishes"

My gosh, I really struggle with cards, just the starting point, I never know where to start.  I get there in the end but trust me, I do struggle with them!!  Maybe it's the size, I don't know but they just don't come together as easy as a layout for me.

Next up is a Shimmerz canvas I created as a gift.
Lots of girly colours used here.

Coloringz in Pink Stiletto, Heidi Ho Blue and No Yoking
Spritz in Ruby and Mango Madness
Shimmerz in Magenta
Pearlz in Pretty in Pink

"a"

The buterflies were so easy to make, I just cut out some calico the shape of a butterfly and frayed the edges a little.  I also cut 2 other butterflies with paper and layered them, with the calico one on top.  I adhered them all together via the centre and applied a little stamping to the calico before giving them a dose of Shimmerz !

For the letter 'a' I used a another simple technique.  I applied gesso to the whole letter with my finger (along with some more stamping)  and then taking the lid off my Shimmerz I flicked it on randomly to the letter letting the 2 colours blend in together.

Now to some exciting scrappy news :):)  I am now one of the newest Design Team members of Aussie Scrap Source !!!  I was so excited to receive an email from them, it was an opportunity I couldn't pass up.  I have been a long time stalker of the blog and so happy to be able to design with those other awesome girls along with some awesome products :)

Here are my first 2 layouts.  A highs and lows feature.  This first layout featuring October Afternoon Woodland Park.  Super fun collection to play with!

"It's Always A Good Time"

My second layout being my lows layout is about our Bradie Bear.  She passed away back in March.  She was 12 and a half, creating this brought back lots of memories especially those of her passing.  This time using the MME Sweetest Thing collection.

"RIP Bradie Bear"

So there you have it, if you got this far and take the time to leave me a comment, I would love to know which project you liked the most :):)

While I am here I just want to thank you all for enjoying my blog candy and hopping on board for your chance to win.  I really appreciate all of those sweet comments left for me.  There is still plenty more time before my candy is drawn so check out my post below.

Hope you have a creative week.....hugs xoxo

Okay I am pretty much welling up inside with all this eye candy!! I am off for a breast cancer fundraising crop today and I am so glad that I got to see some new stace creations to inspire me. Might try that butterfly technique ;) will let you know how I go ;) Was especially shocked with the layout with no flowers on it- the colours remind me of a streets rainbow paddle pop- yum! I do remember your layouts from AGES ago which had hardly any flowers on them!! The Bradie layout was really special to see. So lovely seeing you remember your special family member this way and it is beautiful. Have a great weekend chicky mwah xx

Hi Stacey, my favourite layout would have to be the one about your dog Bradie, it is so special and I just love the softness you created, so peaceful...All your other creations are outstanding though, I love them all but the one about Bradie just stands out!
