Happy day:):)

I have had such a lovely day today. I recieved a gorgeous (very early) birthday present from my beautiful friend Mel and I also got to see her (she is in town for a few days)....I also have some more exciting news that I just can't share with you yet:) Anyways, onto my new Gracie layouts. The first one is of her at about 7-8 months old so it is an extra gorgeous gummy pic of her:) I used a mixture of Prima and My Little Shoebox.
"Pretty Blue Eyes"

This next one I did for palette #25 for the Color Room. Gracie at her 1st birthday party (now with teeth...lol) I love these colours together...yummo:)

So my birthday isn't until just before Christmas but Mel isn't sure if she will be back here before then so she gave me this early.....it's a Whoot Whoot plush that I talked about a while back:):) It is sooooo adorable and the little sneaky ordered me one after reading my blog.

Now to find a spot for her in my craft room:)

It feels like forever....

Since I have updated this little blog of mine...but it has only been a week! I have had a tummy bug but feeling much better now. It is very rainy here atm and the boys had a haircut for me today and they were soooooo good....yay for Cooper, I was so proud of him:)

So I have a little bit of scrapping to share with you from the last couple of weeks:) The first one of my happy little boy....who is just about 22 months old! I just love this Bella Blvd hot air balloon, I just added some of my own touches to it:) I also used some clouds from Leanne's Etsy Store Clouds and More and a doiley (I always tend to cut these in half) and cloud button from The Chip Chop Shop and some butterflies, Prima daisy (I think my all time fave) and MLBOW.
"Your Giggle is so Infectious"

Just a closeup. I really like the way this one turned out, I think it is super cute:)

Next up Cooper and PINK.......yay, I love it even if it is a wee bit girly. The background paper for this is Rouge De Garance and then I went a little crazy with paint again! This one has a very arty feel to it, I think:)

"Day Dreamer"

I made this one for hubs from the boys for Fathers Day. They wait for him to come home after work and they line up for their kisses and cuddles and at bed time they snuggle up to Dad on the couch because they know Mummy is the one that makes them go to bed and they say "just a bit longer"....I used some more Basic Grey "Oliver" and some Such Sweet Tierney buttons and a bit of material.

"We Love You"

Now just to catch up on the Color Room. The first one from last week....I love these colours and I just couldn't wait to scrap this pic of Kobi from the other week at the beach.

"Growing"

I used glimmermist and some alcohol inks to create this butterfly with a little bit of Gesso for the center. And look at the cute little froggy from the Prima So cute papers:):)

Lastly the Color Room palette from this week. I wasn't going to do this one, the colours are not me but I just received my buttons from Such Sweet Tierney and the colours matched perfectly. London's buttons are sooo awesome and funky, I pretty much used the whole packet but just adding 1 to your project would make it pop! Anyway, I love yellow so I kind of went that direction instead of the green and brown. I also used some Lil Red Rocket yummies and another cloud button and doiley's from The Chip Chop Shop.

"What's Up"

Phew, that's about it for now. I hope you find some inspiration today!!

Thankyou for visiting me here xo

Mixed media canvas...

So here is the canvas I said I would share with you. I made it for a friend of her little girl on her 2nd birthday. It is a shame this pic is so small but if anyone could help me get bigger pictures on here that would be great. The picture doesn't do this piece justice, it is so much prettier IRL. This came together so quickly and easily for me (about 2 and a bit hours) and I can't wait to do more like it:):) I have had this picture in my head for ages on what I wanted it to look like and with a few new Prima products it has worked out lovely...can't you tell I am so happy with it!! I have been inspired by the beautiful works of Steph .....I adore her work. Dad made me up the canvas, I think it is about 13 inches by 25 inches. I thought doing it narrower would be great for a wall hanging. I coated the canvas with Gesso first, waited for it to dry and then went crazy with paint and some alcohol inks and glimmermists.
I didn't put any words or title on it....I didn't think it needed anything more, what do you think?? I then just started layering paper and material on just as I would on a normal layout. Then I added all the Prima flowers and vine around the photo adding more paint to the edges of them aswell.
I used the new "Annalee" paper by Prima as well as some older Prima paper, some new butterflies and some feathers I got at lincraft.

The circles were created using an old lid from a Glen 20 bottle and randomly stamped onto the canvas and I also painted and printed some bubble wrap.

I absolutely loved creating this canvas.....I painted on canvas before I found scrapbooking so it has been such a long time since I used this media:) Now that I have found it again it was awesome to mix the two together....like I said I can't wait to do more and I am getting back into using all my paints and getting real arty again!!!!
So I hope you like it as much as I do:)

So cute!!

Awwww, this is the cutest range ever by Prima...I am in love with it:):) Cooper calls his little brother 'his' baby...it's totally sweet! He keeps telling me how he wants another baby like Kobi.....and I keep telling him the same thing too;) I think I used pretty much all of the "So Cute"range plus some new flowers and leaves and a tiny bit of Rouge De Garance, The Chip Chop Shop and MLBOW.
"He's My Baby"

We are heading to Coral Cove this weekend for a wedding. It should be a great day, it is Tim's cousin so all the family will be there. I bought myself a new dress and a funky little necklace from Diva so it will be lovely to dress up:):) I made this card for them using all Prima, I even used the packaging in this one.

"Love"

This next layout is of me and my bestie of 25 years (yep we meet at Kindy).....it's about being hopeful that one day soon we can share the journey of pregnancy together. I know we live on opposite sides of the country but this would be so fun and special to share with her....so fingers crossed we both fall soon:)
"Hopeful"
So this morning the boys left with Mum and Dad to go to Elliott Heads (which is not far from Coral Cove). We will meet them there tonight. Tim and I will travel down this afternoon. Anyway, I have been feeling really strange and lost today without them....and it has only been 5 hours. I think it is because I have been home by myself too and it is just plain weird, no noise, no tantrums, no kisses, no cuddles, no abc kids, no cleaning poo......lol!!!! It is amazing how those little tantrums drive you nuts but when they aren't around it's strange.
Okay, if you made it this far, I better get moving and make sure I have the last of our stuff packed. I have made a special canvas for a friend so when I get back I will share it with you:)
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for visiting me and your sweet comments:)

**Hi**

Just sharing a layout I created the other day.......I have used Rouge De Garance paper with a mixture of scraps aswell as lots of painting and texture for my background. I then added some doiley's from The Chip Chop Shop. I also used a Prima vine, I always chop these vines up and use them in pieces.....I find it easier and you occasionally get some leftovers you can use on another layout. There's also a MLBOW apple pin in there too...can you spot it?
"Believe"
Some close ups....I have used a couple of Owl buttons from Lil Red Rocket...bit cute aren't they:)
Lookie at the new Prima paper butterflies....this is the first of my new Prima I have used:)
Oh yeah, I had a sad day on Friday......I had to give my beloved camera up for up to 6 weeks while it gets looked at. Boo hoo:( My big lens has been playing up and wouldn't focus on the auto mode so it's still under warrenty so now they have to send it all away to look at it because I am not sure if it had anything to do with the camera or just the lens. At least I don't have to pay for it to be fixed. But I am totally devastated that I will be without my camera for a little bit.....I have pulled out my old Olympus but it just isn't the same as my SLR. I think the worst bit about it is I just picked up my new Sigma lens and now I can't use it until I get my camera back. Anyway enough sooking, we skipped swimming last Thursday (the boys have had little colds again) and went down to the beach so I could play with my new lens and take some pics of my favourite boys:) I got so many nice ones but here are just a few.

Have a fantastic day!!!
